Free SAT/ACT Question-Solving Sessions

When: Every other Tuesday at 4:30 PM Pacific Time

Cost: Pay-what-you-want. My goal is to make this accessible to all students, but if you find value in these sessions, I appreciate being compensated for my time and effort.

What: Need to jumpstart your SAT/ACT prep? Join me for a free biweekly SAT/ACT problem-solving session on Zoom where we will focus on:

• Identifying key content and strategies for different question types
• Exploring multiple solution methods to build flexibility
• Learning to summarize text quickly to grasp key ideas
• Practicing proven techniques like plug-in and backsolve to tackle tricky problems

But it’s not just about memorizing test tricks—these strategies reflect real problem-solving techniques used by mathematicians and critical thinkers to break down complex challenges and find solutions efficiently.

Who I am: I'm a tutor with over a decade of experience in SAT/ACT prep and a 99th percentile scorer on both the SAT and GRE. I know standardized tests can feel like just another hoop to jump through, but I see them as an opportunity. In school, we often learn one topic at a time, with tests that rely on predictable formats and formulas. The SAT/ACT, however, challenges you to pull from everything you've learned and apply it in unfamiliar contexts. While this can be tough, it's also a valuable skill—one that prepares you for higher education and real-world problem-solving.
